Word files

Open Word files, ask Weaver about them, let it make changes you can undo in one step, or edit them yourself. Weaver can also write new Word and PDF files.

Open and ask

A Word file (.docx or .doc) opens as pages. If it has a password, Dataweaver asks for it. Ask Weaver about it like any file. Each value in the answer links to the paragraph it came from. A panel lists the headings, tracked changes and comments in the file.

Let Weaver change it

Ask for a change, or select words on the page and ask for a change to just those. Weaver's changes go straight into the file. The Changes tab lists them, and Undo brings back the file as it was. Changes to money, dates and names are pointed out so you can check them.

Edit it yourself

Press Edit to open the file with a Word-style toolbar. If saving would lose something, such as an equation or a comment, Dataweaver lists it and asks first.

New Word and PDF files

Ask Weaver for one letter to each supplier in a table, or to fill in a Word template. It can save any of them as a PDF, and charts it drew go into the file.

Write a payment reminder to each customer in this sheet who has not paid, as Word files.

Share a clean copy

Ask for a clean copy without tracked changes, comments or hidden text, or for a copy with the words you choose taken out.

A line above the pages warns when a Word file has macros or links to outside files.
