DocsYour files
Save and convert
Save with Cmd+S. Turn a file into Excel, CSV, JSON or XML with Export as. Weaver results are saved the same way.
Save
⌘S (Ctrl+S on Windows) saves the file in the same format it was opened in. A CSV stays a CSV. A new file you created asks for a name and a place the first time.
Convert
Open the File menu, or press ⇧⌘P and type "export". Choose Export as Excel, Export as CSV, Export as JSON or Export as XML. A new file is written. The original is untouched.
| From | To Excel | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| CSV | One sheet | Numbers stay numbers, dates stay dates |
| Excel with many sheets | CSV | Only the sheet you are looking at |
| JSON | Excel or CSV | Each record becomes a row, each field a column |
Weaver's results
Every table or file Weaver makes appears above the conversation. Press it to open it as a sheet. Press Export next to it to save it as Excel, CSV, JSON or XML.
A cell that starts with = or + is written so that Excel does not run it as a formula. This protects you from a file that was made to do harm when opened.
