How Weaver works
Weaver is a careful assistant. It does one step, checks the result, fixes what is wrong, and stops when the answer is ready. You see every step.
Weaver is the assistant inside Dataweaver. You do not set anything up and you do not approve a plan. You say what you want. Weaver does the work.
What you see
Weaver works like a careful assistant. It does one step, looks at the result, and decides the next step. If something is wrong, it fixes it and tries again. It stops only when the answer is ready, or when it needs to ask you something.
Each step appears in the panel as it happens. Select a step to see exactly what Weaver did and what it found. You can press Stop at any time.
What you get
- A short written answer.
- Often a table, a chart, or a new file. These appear above the conversation.
- Every number in the answer is a link to the rows or the page it came from.
Three rules Weaver follows
- It never changes your original file. Results are always new files.
- It never changes a database. It can only read.
- When it is not sure, it says so, or it asks you.
How to ask
Type the way you would speak to a colleague. Name the columns the way they are named in your file. Say what the result should look like.
If the answer is not what you wanted, say so in the next message. Weaver keeps the conversation and corrects course.
