Open a file
Drag a file onto the window, or use File, then Open File. Excel, CSV, Word, PDF, scans, photos, JSON, XML, text, logs and SQLite files all open.
Ways to open
- Drag the file from your desktop onto the Dataweaver window.
- + Add a file in the box where you type.
- File menu, then Open File. Or press ⌘O (Ctrl+O on Windows).
- Ask for it by name. Type "open the March sales file" and Weaver finds it on your computer.
- Double-click the file in Finder or File Explorer, if Dataweaver is set as the app for that kind of file.
Open a whole folder
File, then Open Folder (⌥⌘O on Mac). The folder appears in the sidebar under Folder, with every file in it. This is how you give Weaver a folder of invoices or a month of statements.
What opens

Big files
There is no row limit for spreadsheets. A file with hundreds of thousands of rows opens in pieces so the window stays quick. Text, log and XML files larger than 50 MB can be opened but not scanned in one go.
PowerPoint files do not open yet. Google Sheets does not connect yet.
